This is one of the things that is wrong with America today! When i first heard about this story I was in shock. What kind life is this kid gonna have with a transgender dad that gave birth to her. How is she going to explain to her pre-school class. I usually dont get upset and comment on certain topics, but this one was just too much for me and I had to express my total dispproval and wished we lived in a place where things like this were un-heard-of but still there is always someone who wants to change the way things are meant to be.

This is a woman carrying a baby, she is in no way a man. I feel so bad for that baby.

I thought Fox News was one of the few news sources that got most reporting right…how could Fox seriously “report” this story as factual, using the male pronoun, etc? This woman is in denial, but I was surprised to see that Fox is as well.

This is ridiculous. What is America coming to? I would hate for my child to see this person; how would you explain someone looking like a man and being pregnant? What type of reaction do these people think that they should get? They are going against the NORMALCY of society.

Shame on you, Fox News. To report that this is a ‘man’ having a baby is completely factually inaccurate. This is clearly a woman masquerading as a man. The fact that SHE could go off from hormones for a relatively short period of time and conceive proves this. When doctors agreed to start providing ’sex change’ operations, they opened a pandora’s box of sick possibilities. What transgender people really need is psychological therapy, not hormone therapy. And these people need to get a clue. This is and will continue to be offensive to a majority of people who understand that it is, indeed, perverse to tamper with the way one is born. All of my sympathy goes to this baby, who will undoubtedly also suffer cruelty when people discover its origins. Remember back in the day when someone was pregnant and people say “oh are you having a boy or a girl”? If God chooses you to be a girl, then deal with it and dont change yourself into a man…this is such a disturbing story! Its a same sex marriage (take away the hormones) you are still a woman! Firstly, every society that has ever embraced homosexuality fell soon afterwards. The most disturbing part of this article, at least for me, is that in the homosexual world, there are no moral codes in which to live by. It’s a free for all. They can do whatever, or whomever, they wish, and the rest of us are just supposed to bend over and take it up the @ss (no pun intended). Societies that don’t have moral codes that guide them don’t survive. EVERYTHING can’t be accepted as social norm (regardless of what they want to shove down our throat (again, no pun intended). However, “The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in time of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.” We have to reject this on every level. Stop embracing homosexuals as friends, ostracize them, reject them from society. It doesn’t mean you’re homophobic. It’s what keeps balance in any society. When we accept them, and even protect them, we are perpetuating their lifestyle, and eventually they will win. We have to stop this madness.

this brings so many legal and ethical issues- and this child has no choice in the matter-how will the birth certificate legally be labeled, who will have custody if there is a “breakup”,who will pay child support, how will this child deal with society,schools,friends,activities, (would you want your child going over for a sleepover?) is the union of the adults “legal” or will this person get government aid and benefits for being a “single mom”, how are taxes filed, who will get the mothers day card, who will be listed as mother? it breaks my heart that this child will have to deal with unnecessary issues. and that an adult could even consider throwing a child into this arena. who are the doctors involved with all of this? As a Christian I am heart broken, and pray for these people.

I think these people are discusting! First of all, that person shouldn’t be calling herself a man, because she is a woman no matter how she looks on the outside. And what kind of doctor would give this person that kind of sergury. What kind of sick world do we live in? Thank you Karen… I’m transgender and find this story intriguing. I think that as long as the two parents are loving and caring the child will be just fine. Being transgender is not a lifestyle choice. Trust me there is nothing fun about living a lie with a mind of one gender and the body of another. We just want to be able to live our lives in peace without being hassled by a bunch of ignorant bigots. My spouse and I chose not to have kids partially b/c of the transgender issue but I know of many well adjusted children that have grown up with a transgender parent and they are just fine.

I am a christian woman. I believe in God. I believe the bible. However, having said that, I do not think that God makes mistakes and when people are born with gender identity issues or are gay there is a reason they were born this way. I may not agree but I think that people have NO right to judge these people. The issues they have are between them and God. If God did not want that “man” to get pregnant then none of the embryo’s would have survived.

I think that this “man” has every right to live the life he wants to live. I do not think that getting pregnant was on his list of things to do today when he decided to live his life as a man. I think that it is very noble and honorable that he did this thing for his wife, for his family. I think that the child will grow to be very healthy and happy because he/she will have parents that love them. I know of many many children in “normal” families that are beaten, abused, hated, tormented, and just treated poorly in general. NOTHING says that you have to be “NORMAL” to raise a family. What’s “wrong” with America is that all of you feel the need, desire and right to judge this couple. They are doing nothing illegal. They are doing nothing that affects you in your day to day life. Their children have been brought into a loving home by 2 loving parents who can financially and emotionally support them. This is a simple case of a woman being pregnant, who has confused gender issues. Our hearts go out to this person, but it hardly seems like big news. And, most irresponsible of all is the fact that FoxNews fails to even mention that there has to be a sperm donor involved in this situation — the story is couched in such a way as to lead the reader to disallow for that obvious biological fact. SHAME ON YOU FOXNEWS. God help these two people and God help the child born into this situation. They’re going to need it.

I have to agree with the majority of the comments above…a person who is pregnant is a WOMAN. It is biologically impossible for a man to have a baby! I can guarantee you that the sperm was donated and, therefore, NEITHER one of these women are the father.

And as for the comment from Karen about Christians judging this couple, the bible does call for Christians to not judge based on their own opinion. Comments such as “they are sick” ” they are perverted” are incorrect and judgemental statements BUT pointing out that GOD says that homosexuality is WRONG is absolutely mandated BY GOD.

What God do you serve that preaches the hate that you spew out of your mouths? Every baby is a blessing from God. This child is a gift to this world from God, maybe to teach us tolerance (something that alot of you need to learn). At least it will have two parents that will love it and provide for it, which is alot more than some babies even get a chance at. It must be nice to sit on your pedestals and judge others. Tell me again - when did you walk across water?

This “dude” can give herself testosterone and have chest reconstructive surgery and then decide to get pregnant (thus mentally scaring the resulting child for life), but a normal person wants to inject testosterone to increase athletic performance and physical appearance and they risk a jail sentence.

The proper use in the Bible of judging is judge not lest ye be judged. That doesn’t mean that you can’t tell someone that they’ve done something wrong. I feel free to judge them and say that what they’re doing is wrong beginning with homosexuality. And I feel free to be judged by that same standard. That’s the problem with America today. This article opens many, many thoughts in my mind. I have to wonder if Science, though it can be a wonderful thing, will be the very thing that will cause our demise. I have thought about this a lot. I am myself a mom of six, but I have friends who have struggled with infertility. But they refused invitro. What do you do with those embryos that are left? Sometimes they are adopted rather than destroyed. What if one day that child falls in love with his biological siblings or close relative. Then what? You risk serious genetic problems for those babies. What if one day your daughter falls in love with a guy who is not really a guy?! I can’t believe we are actually to this point in society. What a mess! No good can come out of us trying to play God.

I serve a God that teaches me to stand for what is right and to stand up against what is wrong. I agree that every child is a blessing but I also believe that this is comletely wrong. After reading this article I must it admit it is disturbing. This “man” was born a female and will always be a female, NOTHING can change that. That being said she has the God given right to her own freewill, and we should not judge her for that. I am not saying that I agree with this, I do not. This child will be raised in a home with one mom(the female that gave birth to her/him) and no Dad.
I pray that both persons involved will fully love and support this child.

It wasn’t too long ago that a mixed race family was deemed disgusting as well, but as society became more educated, we now know better. The same will happen for homosexual and transgender families… Unfortunately it may take fifty or a hundred years like it did for African Americans but as history as shown, it will happen.

I am a gay man, so I can’t be accused of being insensitive to the LGBT community with my comments. I also happen to be a nurse, so my understanding of the human body, especially a man’s body, is greater than that of others. I agree with most of the comments here that this is a woman who simply looks like a man. Yes, she was born a man and underwent a pseudo-gender reassignment surgery and WAS taking hormones. But HE decided to keep the female sex organs, one of the things that differentiates men from women. And his testosterone was exogenous in nature. I do understand the plea of the transgendered community; perhaps this person relates to the world as a man. However, anatomically, SHE is still a woman. I apologize if I have betrayed my fellow LGBTers, but science and common sense prevail here.
