How does this story get on your news site and the one in
Las Vegas DOES NOT. That one was huge….no news because it
was doctors from India and Pakistan….and it involved 40,000 patients???????
40,000 PATIENTS DELIBERATELY EXPOSED TO HEPATITIS AND AIDS.
That should have been a huge story. where were you, Fox news?????
To notpc:
We hadn’t yet launched our Health BLOG when the news broke of the incident in Nevada, but that story did indeed get a lot of coverage on our site, as well as on the channel.

Please do your research on treatment of Hepatitis C. We CAN eradicate the virus, although it is generally a lengthy and unpleasent experience, as well as very costly. Depending on the genotype of the virus, (among other factors), some will respond to treatment better that others. The odds aren’t the best for a “cure”, but we are managing to rid the virus in approximatly 50% of patients treated. If only Hepatitis C recieved the attention AIDS does, we may be further along in developing a vaccine, as well as more effective treatment options.
