We’ve already seen the devastating economic consequences of the smoking bans enacted ‘for our own good’ — small clubs & restaraunts forced to close across the country, the drop & now collapse of consumer spending as real people are no longer allowed to leave their homes for an evening out. The cell phone ban that logically should now occur if this study is proven true — cell phones more likely to kill you than cigarettes — isn’t likely to help the economy much either, but hey, it’ll be ‘for our own good’. Thanks Big Government!

I wonder if they are going to be as quick to ban use of cell phones for health reasons like they did cigarettes. We will see if popularity wins out over peoples health. After all, the government was so concerned about people’s health with cigarettes!

In August of 2003, my wife was diagnosed with a glio blastoma brain tumor. after battles with radiation and chemo, she passed away on June 13th of ‘04. We have searched for answers as to what may have caused this. Doctors aren’t sure, they say maybe heriditary, but no one in my wife’s family has ever had. I feel that more research should be done, because if cell phones may cause this some changes should be made. I don’t think anyone wants to go through what we did or what I still do because of something as simple as a cell phone. By the way and for the record, I am a smoker and struggle with some of the smoking bans, but I limit my use of tobacco to my health, well that is not a bad thing.

Too much of anything is bad for your health. Cellular phone use or tobacco use in moderation is not a problem. Constant cell phone use held against the ear or 2-pack a day smoking will affect your health. We don’t need “Big Government” fixing us. Government should make sure we have all the information and let us decide. As far as cell use, I switch to ’speaker’ mode ASAP. I also don’t use it all day like some. Use wired headsets instead of wireless and you reduce your exposure to the radiation which is similar to microwave oven radiation. We live in a “high energy” world with constant exposure to radio frequency energy from many sources. Cell phones are a very small part of that exposure. The only problem is that we hold them next to our heads. Blutooth doesn’t help as it works on radio waves too.

Moderation in all things

How about that, now government can tax something else … let’s have every state sur-charge - or in Minnesota a Usuage fee like when we buy a pack a cigarettes of 75 cents a pack. How about 75 cents a call usage fee taxed by states. That way government can sue Nokia, Motorola, Apple etc. Just like the sued the cigarette companies. ooh don’t forget, no talking on your phone inside a building — stand out in -30 windchill to make a phone call….

Ok, quit the comparisons to smoking. Smoking severely sickens and kills people besides the smoker. That’s where the problem is. As long as people aren’t shoving their cell phones into my head, their use doesn’t effect me. Of course using a cell phone 18 hours a day isn’t good for you! What kind of thing is?

There is a protective chip that can be placed on the cell phone near the antenna that affords protection for the cell phone, cordless phone, computers and other devices. ForYourHealth.emf411.com

No one wants to give up their conveniences, but you can get protection. They actually manufacture a cell phone in Germany with a protective chip in it to “negate the negative effects of the cell phone.”

Here in this country, the chips are available to use on any cell phone. They are available at ForYourHealth.emf411.com You can order protection directly. Don’t get upset that they are finally bringing this information to light. At least now people will have to knowledge to make a personal decision for their health. You can get protection for yourself and your family.

While on the website read the research literature and listen to Dr. Sellman. You owe it to yourself and your loved ones and children, and especially teens who spend hours on the cell phone.
You don’t notice the invisible danger until you become ill.

Better to consider the protection a necessary phone accessory and go ahead and have it. It is much more costly and time consumming to go back and try to regain lost health.

lol it is obvious who smokes….

Anyway, I would actually like to read the journal article instead of having a news organization try to interpolate it for me. If this is true, I wonder what the distance ratio is? Are we even sure that other EM waves aren’t causing these problems?

If it has to be in close proximity, say less than an inch from your head there would be know bans. The smoking bans for the other people not for the smokers. In comparison with smoking I am wondering if they are taking all cancers into consideration or just lung cancer. I mean smoking can up your risks for several other cancers including kidney and bladder cancer. Then again I would have to see the journal article and all the references before I would actually say yay or nay to either side, and even then it might be inconclusive.

But one thing is not inconclusive and that is that smoking is not good for your health.

I love listening to advocates for smoking, all they do is think of themselves. As typical of most smokers. The good thing about cell phones is they are killing themselves and I don’t believe the government should intervene, call it a way of population control. Both populations are lame, inconsiderate smokers and people who yak to much on there cell phones.

I am a firefighter. Firefighter & police officers use hand held radio’s. The radio’s put out 5 watts of power. There is no high rate of brain tumors in police or firefighters. Cell phones are hand held radio’s with a lot less power. Analog cell phones transmitt power is in milliwatts & the digital cell phones use even lower power. I think some people do studies that have very small data bases & then release findings that have no real basis of truth. How many times have there been studies that show coffee is bad & good for us.

yes, many studies are being down world wide but we here do not know about them. Why is the US so behind? I believe, after looking at the evidence that EMF is a cumulative toxin, much like second hand smoke and the like.

Look it is another case of people who can not mind their own buiness, smoking, tobaco, and achool the pleasure police are at it again and you will give
your liberty for the good of the children or else.
Frankly all b.s should just goaway. When we choice to take our lives and just live them
and ignore these damn studies I’ll wager will be just fine without all this B.S.

I wonder if using blue tooth devices would limit exposure. It does seem that everything we do causes something but if using a little device would help I would be all for it.
