Are Home Defibrillators Worth the Cost?

One Response to “Are Home Defibrillators Worth the Cost?”

Should everyone buy an AED – automated external defibrillator for their home, no. Should you consider purchasing one if you have a family history of heart disease and can afford the $1,195 – $1,600 price? Yes! This is especially true for people that live far from the nearest Ambulance, those that go boating and those that own RV’s and travel.

About me – I am a Florida EMT Firefighter and used an AED defibrillator while traveling home from vacation. A passenger went into cardiac arrest in the Atlanta airport and I had to apply the pads and shock him back to life. And yes, he survived.

Since the above incident I started my own business, The CPR School, LLC or TheCPRSchool.com where I train people how to perform CPR, how to use an AED, which AED to buy, how to service and maintain the AED and I also sell AEDs and related items.

If anyone has any questions regarding CPR and AEDs I am happy to assist.
