As the husband of a transplant patient in Pittsburgh this is not a suprise. There are many horror stories when it comes to insurance companies when it comes to transplants. Not only how to get the transplant but obtaining the medicines to maintain a paitent.I know people who have to have fund raisers to pay for the opreation and medicines. Some times one Rx costs 1,800.00 2,000.00 monthly that is not payed for by insurance. Keep trying to get assistance. In the future I plan on starting some type of foundation to support needy transplant patients who are victims of a failed medical system….
