If you aren't safe working in your own garden, then where are you safe? Who knew that gardening was such a dangerous pastime? Still, I'd like to see some statistics showing deaths attributed to gardening as opposed to deaths attributed to sports. I 'll bet more people die on the golf course than in the garden.

Aspergillosis is often fatal to people with compromised immune systems. It could be the victim was not aware of the state of his immune system but most likely it was compromised due to the speed and severity of the infection.

Aspergillosis is known as one of the opportunistic infections that attacks AIDS patients and other people with compromised immune systems. In these cases it is not a rare disease.

Terrible. Mold is bad. My husband and I purchased a preowned home back in 8-06 and had an inspection etc. moved in 01-07 since the sellers were having a home built and basically 60 days later after moving in, we were living w/ my mom and dad since the a/c unit in the upstairs attic had stachybotris toxic mold growing in the air handler on the fan blowing toxic mold spores all through the duct work and into the air of our home. No justice out there either, the prev owner owns his own insurance office and covered up his water damage. cost us 40k to live in it, good thing my at the time 3 year old didnt have issues being that she already was on breathing treatments and other meds for preventative asthma. one day, some day, people will take mold serious .... its serious i know and the family of the 47 year old gentleman who lost his life working in his garden know but until you live it you think everyone is just making a mountain out of a "mold" hill.
