‘Tuning In’ to Get Rid of Migraines
The goal: to eliminate Fox’s migraine headaches.
“It gets really frustrating because anybody that gets migraines knows that it’s not just a headache and you can’t just say to people, ‘My head hurts. I’m going to go lay down.’ You’re just done for the day,” Fox said.
The 25-year-old has suffered from migraines since middle school and has tried several medications. But many of them actually made her headaches worse.
So she recently decided to try an alternative approach called brain music therapy, which sounds like piano music and has an 80-85 percent success rate, Mindlin said.

I really appreciated the music therapy for migraines articles. Where in California in the Los Angeles area, may I find such a person to help me with this program?
I have suffered with migraines for over 40 years and I am now 63 years old. Or is this so new it is considered experimental? What steps should I take to begin this therapy? I have tried everything,
My latest methods of treatment has been 50 mg. of Imtrex twice daily and daily tablets of Topamax, one tablet, twice daily. And as of two today, I have had a headache for two days. I really am interested in something else that would work without more drugs. Thank you, I await your email. Ginny
