Iodine:
From a Yahoo search:

"• 150 mcg/d for adults and adolescents. " The best source is salt that has been enhanced with Iodine. You should be cautious on taking increased amount of salt - you must know your other health issues. Iodine is very important to your body - but you should consult your doctor and have a urine test to determine if you need more or less.

You are so far out in left field. No one could eat like you say and still have any
energy to do anything. I have tried it. I have to have more to eat than that.
I am hungry! Your diet leaves me so hungry I get headaches.
And I only weigh 105 pounds. Best thing to beat the winter blues is SUN LIGHT! Failing to have that. Try one of those light boxes. Works great! and a whole lot cheaper than a lot of the other touted solutions.

The "drink 8 glasses of water a day" is a myth and has been shown to have no basis in nutrition or science. I of course am not suggesting that one should not stay adequately hydrated, but there is absolutely no science behind drinking 8 glasses of water a day. Also, the metabolism cannot be "sped up" in any sort of meaningful way by eating certain foods. I challenge you or anyone to show me any kind of real science that supports either one of these myths. It is amazing to me that so called "professionals" continue to perpetuate junk science and hearsay. It seems to be especially prevalent in the area of health and nutrition.
