I have no problem with her having 14 children via IVF, as long as the doctor is making the support payments. He got her pregnant.

While I believe that Dr. Alvarez is correct in regards to the mother (on food stamps AND invitro? Good grief!), I must disagree with him about the med field. This is a capitalistic society. Doctors can ask for whatever they want feewise. This is just the way America works. The crisis America is entering now (I don’t think we are currently in one, but as soon as the big spending from DC begins, the ship will sink) is more important than the confused woman, I agree, but come on.
In regards to the mom, I think the children should be removed and placed in foster care. Nobody can take care of that many people on the single mom’s “income”. Help the mother out – remove the kids.

It is outrageous that these people with dozens of children force others to pay for their children. 50% of my property tax goes towards the school system where as I never had a child. I have to work full one month for free to support these irresponsible people’s children. Why should I do that? I can take home only 11 months salary and my 12th month’s salary goes entirely towards these foster-children that I don’t want.

I have to keep paying that $3000 that goes just to the school system through tax even if I lose my job and can’t pay for my own food. If I can’t pay for those irresponsible people’s children’s through tax I will lose my house! This is inhuman and gross injustice to everybody else. These people are the cruelest and most selfish of all. They don’t think about others. They think only about their pleasure. Can somebody tell me why are we punished to slavery for the irresponsible behavior of people like this Suleiman woman? I don’t want to pay for her pleasure. Government, please don’t force me to slave for one full month without any pay.

I just read where the octomom is looking to buy a $1.2 million house. The grandmother is looking at forclosure on hers because she is $23, some odd thousand behind in payments. Octomom hasn’t even thought of paying the hospital bills yet or getting a job to support the 14 kids. I guess welfare is a good steady income and I am sure that a few of the octuplets will have “disabilities” (like three of her other six kids) so she can collect even more money for herself at taxpayers expense. She certainly has her priorities straight. She deserves to live in the state of California!!

If everyone would mind there OWN and give her a chance to me a good mother to all 14 kids she might do great and then she might do horrible, who knows we are not her. She rec’d a disablility settlment, she carries kids, bags and doesnt appear disabled. She should be made to payback the money recieved if she gets paid for pics, movie,etc. also I think her prior 3kids getting “disability” now should be reeval’d. ADD is a false epidemic and not disabling, how many are dx’d with ADD now in USA? I can tell you 99 % dont get a check, esp kids. She also owes over 1million $ for delivery, medical chgs, and neonatal care, she SHOULD have to repay California and any future bills if she gets paid for pics, or a movie etc. also assistance withdrawn. watch her taxes and fraud, if she has already gotten some money and not declared it, and still recieving income, food stamps, etc. esp if they divert the $ thru a relative or friend. This woman is abusing the system, and it only goes to show how liberal our society has become. She obviously only wanted more checks from the state, and how funny is it that she lives in the most liberal state in our country, which supposedly has the most industry, but is currently broke! Let’s look at the costs of illegal aliens in this country as to what they take from our local school systems, health services, and law enforcement agencies. Let’s consider the costs of MILLIONS of babies born out-of-wedlock to low-income moms who keep perpetuating the baby mill at our expense while the moms and dads are either absent or on drugs. Consider the costs of these issues in dollar terms and have a more intelligent use of news. To think that an individual has received such hostile comments from people including death threats and language in the most vile terms shows me how truly callous, nasty and EVIL some in our society have become. Nadya obviously has emotional issues that need to be addressed and certainly has vulnerable children that need to be cared for. I think we all need t lighten up. Yes I agree that 14 kids is a lot to take care of. But she is not the only mother in the world with 14 kids. And most of them did it naturally. What about these men with 10, 15, or 20 children. That is not being taken care of. Back in the day, they had big families and it worked out. I know people who have raised 13 children. So it can been done. However, I do agree that she should try to help support these children. But if they are sick then she may not be able to. And daycare do cost so much. I quite my job and worked in one until my child was older. However, maybe she can get a reality show like John and Kate. Or the other couple who has either 16 or 18 children. They just built there own house. Anyway, we should at least give her a fighting chance. In addition, if she fails the child protective services should be involved. Octomom has found a way to use the system as her ‘career’ – and at the same time feed her selfish psychological need. While people are losing their homes, Nadya Suleman expects to receive a home, money to live on, and since children with disabilities call for higher compensation – she doesn’t mind, as long as she has ‘love’. She would have to be found to be unfit to have the children put up for adoption for couples who cannot conceive. And who was the sperm donor? The doctor should be prosecuted for his part.

The way you put a stop to all this crap is do away with the programs that are being abused. Families would be held responsible for their actions, and their children action. If the programs aren’t out there they can’t abuse them. Sounds cold and inhumane , so pay your taxes and don’t complain or get rid of the programs. Both white and blacks abuse the system, so don’t throw he race card out there. Get my drift.

Lets see, the Family with 17 and counting are paying their own way, Jon & Kate didnr get 6 on purpose! and support their children. Big difference here, also using her mother like she does is obscene, wherever she would go she would have to pay rent, Why didnt she help with her mothers mortgage while living with her? This lady does seem to have some emotional health issues. Having these children, ‘having a big family’ reached an actual obsession for her.

That said, she was not trying to have 8 children. It never crossed anyone’s mind that all 6 embryo’s would take and two would turn into twins.

Her decision to refuse to abort any of the children had to be a tough one – but it was her choice.

She needs alot of support now and the help of a good licensed counselor. It is what it is. Now that the situation has arisen people should be good neighbors and be supportive.

I’m from California and I really don’t care about the Octo-mom and her 14 kids, I pray for her and her children that they are all taken care of. But with the state of the California economy (we just passed the budget this past week. The US Government last october spent $700 Billion on a Financial Bailout that did not work, last Tuesday Obama signed into law $800 billion Spending bill full of Pork that will do little to nothing for our economy, the Tax Evading Treasury Secretary is going to spend another $2 Trillion on trying to fix the economy and the spending will continue for the next 4 years. Spending a few million dollars on the Octo-mom is drop in the bucket compared to the Federal Government Spending spree…GOD BLESS THE OCTO-MOM AND HER 14 CHILDREN!

Why should we as tax payers support a sorry, money hungry, no count liar. She claims shhe only wished to have one baby; “bull crap”. if she only wanted to have one baby why did she have six embryo’s implanted? This is what she wants. She has already milked more money than she deserves from the public. Times are tough, even with two people working in a household, taking care of three kids (properly) is costly. Why should we take out of our pockets to take care of a worthless welfare baby maker, whose sole purpose in life is to live off of her kids and get a free check so she can sit on her sorry can. I was a single mother, I got out and busted my ass for years taking care of my kids never once used a food stamp, or a wefare check. These kids didn’t ask to brought into this world, and now they will have to pay the price for their mother’s neglegence. 1. The conservative media are disseminating news a la 1984. We have a great human interest story with an “evil woman” who we are enticed to jeer at every day in our Hate Hour. The economy is in a shambles, people are mentally and physically ill from losing their homes and jobs and we are subjected to this garbage to distract us.

2. In healthcare, it is not patient abuse of the system, as is implied here, but doctor and insurers who are raping the system. I have a hospital bill of mine from 1956, when I was five years old, with a broken arm. I was in the hospital for two nights. The total bill, including medication was $78. Now, granted, that was a long time ago but today, this would be a few thousand dollars – way beyond normal inflation.

Chiropractors charge upwards of $50-$100 in New York. I go to a chiropractor who will not take insurance. He charges $35. We do need insurance for catastrophic illnesses, not for colds and flus. People need to be responsible for their own minor costs and doctors have to stop padding the bills for insurance companies.

Call her Octmom, emomom, mentalmom, poster mom for screw ball,s. I hope she does not bless us with any more little feet. Sounds like she tring to out do Eve but with out Adam. Unfortunately, the problems lie with the companies that will provide everything to this mother and her children. She will receive 24 hr help with childcare, food, clothing, etc. on top of what the government will give her. Where does this end?

I hear of couples who desperately want to have one child but due to the expense of invetro can not do it. Did she use her children’s disability checks to pay… That money should be used to take care of them and if they do not require as much as she is getting because she has leftover to buy more babies they are paying her way to much. She is irresponsible. If she is on food stamps, she probably is on Title 19, free government insurance that pays for all medical cost for pregnancy and all of the babies medical expenses. I agree, the doctor got her pregnant, he can pay her bills.

She is being allowed to live off the system when she could get a job. No one should feel sorry for her because she did this to herself. She expects everyone to keep giving to her and I think the Government is in enough trouble without continuing to help people that keep having more children. She should of kept some of that money she got from that settlement and taken care of the kids she already has.

Why in the World would someone believe “the system” would be a better place for these children, then with their biological mother?! What a sad world we live in when people would, if they had their own way, remove these children from the their mother’s loving care. And who says a family has to be a mother and a father?? First: Work a year and a half—then file for Worker’s Compensation. (Who started the fight any way?)
Second: Milk the system for all it’s worth, so far $167k in Workers Comp, use money for IVF
Third: Have babies, get on welfare and SSI—that’s over $3k per month—tax free.
Fourth: Use up all of parents assets. Let them lose their home—as long as they keep paying for mine—who cares.
Sixth: Use disabled babies’ money to get plastic surgery for face and lips—got to look good on camera.
Seventh: Create deal with shady IVF doc. Cut him in on the ‘big money’ for a reality show. He’s earned it.
Eighth: Pawn babies out for highest price—it’s all about the money, honey!

Free care for all 14 children and their mother, but no reality show, what! After all the ‘work’ Nadya has done!
So what if she brings 14 souls into this world who will suffer for the rest of their lives. Concessions have to be made, stuff happens! I can think of a lot of adjectives to describe Nayda Suleman, but not one of them would be ‘mother’.

I can’t help but wonder…..how is it this woman is able to AFFORD IVF if she is so finacially strapped she can get food stamps along with some kind of disability check for some of her older children? you hear about one having autism, which I agree can be a “disability” IF the child is severly affected….I’ve known several with “Asperger’s Disorder” who knew more about the things they chose to study than most adults. the only other “disability” I have heard mentioned is ADHD…that is a disability? you have GOT to be kidding me.
I also saw the video and pictures of her when she was younger and can’t help but agree that she LOOKS like she has had plastic surgery….where did that money come from?

Whether the Octamom’s actions have an impact on the US current economic woes should not be in debate. Until US society as a whole takes a hard look at its current social values and responsibilities, it will continue the rapid unabated slide towards socialism. As a human being I wish for a world where everyone would be treated equal as well as everyone having personal responsibility instilled, but unfortunately the US and world, as history shows, is populated by selfish humans (myself included) that only feel personal responsibility when there’s a personal benefit. History shows that mankind is incapable of transcending selfishness for the common good, and very few societies (i.e. pre-1800 American Indians) have been successful in sustaining self-rejuvenating cultures. Only societies that mandate personal responsibility without systemic welfare programs have been successful throughout history.

Octamom makes me sick. I hope all of her children are taken away from her and oops there goes her source of income. This lady is smarter than we think she knows just how to use the system. How is it possible that she can have 3 children while on disability. She makes me sick. I don’t want any of my tax dollars to go to her or any of her children.

Come on people! She’s just trying to help us all… All she ever wanted was her own TV show so she could inform everyone how to raise children. She’s an ‘Expert’. Can you image living in the same neighborhood as her? Doesn’t the government have specs on the homes they pay for? I wonder if each kid gets their own room… Maybe Hollywood elites better watch out. But call TLC and let them know you will never watch their channel if they give her a time slot and that you will also call your cable provider and ask that the channel be removed.
